Today we had to say goodbye to our Yellow lab Lucy. She was 12 years old and I miss her so much already. :( She was really sick and it came on so sudden that I feel like the last week has been a blur. I'm just thankful she's not suffering anymore, and she's with our Cocoa now, who passed in August 2010. We've had our 2 sweet girls since Kaitlin was 2yrs old, and the whole house feels empty now that they are both gone.

I love you Lucy Loo and you will be in my heart forever.

It it going to be really cold here tonight, in the 20's and possible dusting of snow in the morning....WHAT? SNOW already! Winter is trying to take over when Fall just got here. Not fair I say! So I guess it'll be a big pot of Chili kind of weekend, hopefully mostly spent snuggling in my blanket and my flannel pj's. :)

Today was a beautiful day, and even though I'm fighting off a cold/sinus thing, I still put on my hoodie (oh how I've missed you) and the hubby and I went walking in the park. I even sat outside tonight just looking at the stars on this clear night, drinking green tea with honey and wishing this stoopid cold away! Tomorrow is supposed to be just as nice...I can't wait!!

Our chocolate lab "Cocoa" passed away today. She would've been 14yrs old next week. We all loved her soooo much, and we will miss her. I'm just thankful she didn't suffer, and she was in her favorite spot, her bed, when I found her.

This past weekend was my hubby's 25yr class reunion, and we got to see some really good friends that we haven't talked to in years. It was a lot of fun, and I swear I laughed so hard for two days that I hurt on Sunday! :D But this weekend also got me thinking back to the highschool days....I was a sophomore, 15yrs old, when Mike graduated, and we started dating the next year. Now our daughter is 15, and I am THANKING GOD, THE STARS, and ALL THAT IS HOLY that she is such a good girl, and not boy crazy, because I remember those years very clearly and I was into everything at that age, and a lot of those memories came flooding back in this weekend! ;) Why does it seem we were so much older for our age back then? My mother had no clue, but I do! LOL!

We went to Myrtle Beach, SC and just got back Tuesday this week. It was sooo much fun, and the weather was perfect...between 84 and 87 degrees everyday. I got a little crispy fried, but it's all good. LOL! Now that we're home the heat is unbearable...ugh...102 today with about 100% humidity...it's enough to make you want to crawl in the freezer. Hopefully a little relief for the weekend, but next week looks just as bad. :( I'm just hoping to catch up on some sleep...vacations, although fun, wear me out!

It's been a busy week and it's only Tuesday. We are getting ready to leave for the beach on Thursday evening and since the hubby works out of town all week I have to pack everything, take care of the dog/cat care, go to the bank, and I've been to Wally World at least three times already.(My memory apparently sucks. :P) I'm really looking forward to the trip though, Kaitlin's taking her friend Victoria so me and Mike are planning to just lay on the beach and be bums for three days. I can't wait!

I'm so happy Trueblood is back on and giving me something to look forward to on a weekly basis! Season 3 has started out with lots of hot Viking goodness with much more to come. I'm really glad I read the books first. I know some people are disappointed with the storyline not following the books exactly, but I think it makes it more interesting. I will say though, since it was announced today Trueblood was picked up for a 4th season, I am very much hoping with every fiber of my being for the lurvely SHOWER SCENE!!! PLEASE... FOR THE LOVE OF GODRIC... GIVE ME THE SHOWER SCENE!!! :P
